    Lower Tailgate Button failing ??

    Have noticed that the button that releases the lower tailgate on my 2011 D4 appears to be failing .....ie..... it used to release the lower tail gate easy with first press ...now i really have to press it hard all the way down then a bit more to get a release ........i think the mechanism may be failing ....any suggestion for a remedy

    When this happened to my D3, I removed the rubber switch-cover and jiggled the switch. No problems since.

    Also make sure that nothing heavy is pressing against the tailgate, thereby jamming it.
