The consensus seems to be between 50 and 80,000KM. Mine has done about 60,000 since the transmission was replaced due to wear from the oil not being changed and I'll be doing the oil soon. I reckon I've had a good run from my D3, I had the compressor changed under warranty and it's been OK since. The shocks are getting pretty worn on mine now but the complete strut units can be had for around $200.00 a corner plus freight out of the UK.

It you let your wife have the car be aware you wont get it back...ever..

My wife has claimed our D3 and im lucky if I get to drive it once a week, more likely once every 2 weeks...

Thanks for comments. Took it for a test drive today.
Totally trust the independent LR yard that have it in Melb.
Has been serviced by them, and gone over for sale.
    Loved the drive.

Still can't believe how well the RRS drives... I have had numerous Audis over the years (still have a 2001 A4 1.8tq) and while it drives great, it's not even in the same universe as the RRS when it comes down to refinement!
