Nota Superpeg, but I’ve fitted a Foxwing onto Rhino sport bars, onto Rhino rails,onto my D4 and it all works really well. All sits nicely above the tailgate no problems at all. Sorry no photo of it setup
I'm thinking of getting one of the Supa-Peg Wing Awnings, haven't decided on which one as yet, anyone with a D3/D4 that have a wing awning, have you had an issue with the tailgate getting in the way

Don't know whether you mean when it is up or folded up?
I have only had the foxing,and it is fine.When folded up it is mounted on the racks to just clear the tailgate when up.
When up it does rest against the tailgate,but is not an issue.How much it rubs on the tailgate depends on how long the poles are,if the ground slopes,etc.
The pic below is of it up,with tailgate rubbing on foxing.
i do try to keep it off the raised tailgate,but is not always possible.The poles for the foxwing are infinitely adjustable,but sometimes not quite long enough to keep the awning off the tailgate.

When camped and you have the awning out and the tailgate open, does it hit the awning.

I have a newly acquired foxwing and used it over the weekend.
I am running Thule racks and no the rear door does not foul the awning when open.
Now this may depend slightly on where you set the pole heights but as the section over the rear door is fabric, at least on the foxwing it would not matter to much even if you set the poles low.
These are terrifically designed, easy to set up bits of kit. Even as a first use it only took 2 - 3 minutes to set up and about the same to pack away.

Thanks George, to add to the rear door we have a ladder as well, this makes the door another 6" higher when open, I think I'm going to have too find someone with an awning so I can test it out.
I made the fatal mistake of buying an el-cheapo wing awning from ebay, it doesn't work at all with the rear door open, it also doesn't come all the way around and end up square to the back of the door, so when you open the rear door it hits the awning and lifts it up, pulling the canvas off the pole
I don't want to lay out all that money to have the same issue I already have, I'd rather fix this one so it is workable, and to do that we have to pull it apart and add more canvas so it will open like it should.

Baz,
The SupaWing awning should not fowl on the rear door when open. It depends on what rack you have too.
That being said, it all depends on how you mount it to the roof rack or cross bars. I have one on my D2 with Windcheetah awning and mounted underneath rather tha on top of the rack - no issues. I also have a rear ladder.
If it does foul (which is unlikely), mount it higher.
BTW, put up a pick of your ladder - I can't see how it makes the door higher.
I too have a Foxwing on a pioneer platform rack and it is no worries with rear door.
