Thread: Introduction - My Recent D3 Purchase

Hi all

I Finally gave up trying to convince my wife in buying another Defender, so we compromised and settled on a 2006 D3 tdv6 HSE. Having owned a 1997 defender and more recently a 2001 freelander, i must say the D3 is by far the most comfortable and nice to drive.

The car has 112k on it and is still in fantastic condition. It was a very weird buy since the car was located a toyota dealership. Previous owner traded in with a landcruiser.

I must say the Discovery was a standout amongst all those landcruisers and i had some interesting conversations with the salesman. (The famous Toyota VS Landrover)

after looking for months trying to find the right car for the right price, this one was an absolute bargain after a stuff up on the price they listed the car on Carsales. I pretty much bought the car without even seeing it, but after a test drive the D3 preformed briantly and having 3 months statutory warranty give me some peace of mind.

I will definately have lots of questions to ask.

On Saturday there was a very shiny 200 series at my local LR dealer for sale, amongst a number of other brands....he saw the light.
