    D4 2.7 vacuum actuator

Gday all, does anyone know what this actuator does and if there should be a hose attached? I'm new to these engines and have lots to learn

My TDV6 2.7 looks just like yours with no hose on the little barb. There is also a matching one on the opposite bank

I think it forms part of the valve cover. Some kind of breather

I was going to name this thread "tdv6 engine mystery", but thought it maybe missleading..... Haha it has an arm which connects to something in the valley I tried to move it with my fingers but no movement. Its good that a few engines are like this, it seems nothing is supposed to connect to the pipe fitting than. Maybe its a dampener device. I have wiring looms and hoses which arnt in there place, in there clips I mean . As if its all been apart before. As its a new car to me I want to ensure everything is how it should be.
