Just had the front struts changed. Quoted by stealer $970 each.

Got a pair from British Parts $800 or so for the pair delivered by DHL.

I would check your rear bushes first as mine are well shot and allow the wheel to move all over the place, could account for the symptoms.

Get the complete struts as the shocks will be well worn.

The price difference between just replacing the shocks and replacing the whole strut assembly is comparatively small so as the airbags are 8yrs old as well I decided to replace the whole struts.
I have not had any issues with either of these parts leaking or failing.

The larger assembly on the left is the rear one.
    The cost?
Complete front strut - $304 plus gst
    Rear - $404 plus gst.
So supply of parts total = $1568 incl postage & gst.
I fitted them myself, not anywhere as easy as normal springs and shocks but a saving!
Pretty good life expectancy for airbags!

Rich those are great prices but I'm not that good under the car to work on suspension myself.
