    silicone intercooler hoses

    Hi all after some info if possible . Flying down to melbourne 2morrow for a week I just did a service on my disc and found a intercooler hose on the way out see that I live in Gladstone not much in the way ofparts up here . I was thinking maybe I could get some from a place in melbourne any help would be nice. Dont know my way around there but should not be to hard I hope cheers

    Not sure about Melbourne (possibly Ritters), but M.R. Automotive in Brisbane will post/courier to you. I got a reasonable price from them.

    The FAQ has a good list of Melbourne LR service centres that you should contact depending on where in Melbourne you will be.

    I know for a fact that Ritter in Burwood stocks them. You could also try MLR in Port Melbourne ( closer to the city).

    I recently bought a set of the silicone hoses (three pieces) from AMV - AMV Automotive Services – Landrover Parts, Online Store, Wrecking, Melbourne - cost me $242 delivered to my door.
    Good people to deal with.

    Plan on having plenty of change for the swear box when you tackle the short 50mm hose at the back of the passenger side of the motor.

    My next project is to put double hose clamps each end of the small hose as when I first fitted it, I didn't tighten the clamps up tight enough and it blew off while towing 3 ton van up a range in northern NSW, the result was heaps of black smoke, no power and less than 10kph speed and half a day plus over nite stay beside the road to effect repairs.

    I also ordered some from All Four X 4.

    I think they are Terra Firma brand but delivered to the door for $275 based on the link below.

    Terrafirma Silicone Intercooler Hose Kit Discovery 3 TDV6 - All Four X 4 Spares

    Blue in colour and only did the main hose as it was cracked. Working a treat so far.
