Wonder if anyone saved that excel file /\ noted here, before Greenoval up and left us, it really was very helpful and comprehensive, best i had found for many years ; went looking again as I wanted to check the issues with BFGs KO2 265/65R18s, from my memory they fit the spare slot (maybe?) and only had slight rub on full articulation on a D3 2.7TD

    cheers all,

I have it. If no one else posts up in the meantime, I’ll put it up in the morning. David

    Hi Drizzle

i had the BFG KO2 265/65R18 on my D3, D4(Stolen) and now on my D4 again - great tyre.

You are right but the spare only fits if it’s deflated - not all the way but enough to keep the bead.

Regarding the rubbing I had a little at full turn but I let the rub mark the spot and the heated that general area up with a heat gun and whacked it with a rubber mallet - problem solved 👍

People ask a lot about how it affects the speedo because of the larger circumstance - I found that my Speedo was still accurate with no adjustments - guess they ship from factory with a Slight under reading perhaps for safety.

    Cheers.

I have BFG KO2s on my Defender and will stick with them. 65,000km and heaps of tred left. Great in the muddy paddocks we have on our farm, haven’t had any punctures (touch wood) and been on a heap of rocky and sandy tracks. Also seem pretty quiet.

Also liked them enough to put on the wife’s Land Cruiser!

We just got 125000+ trouble-free km out of the Cooper AT3 LT’s on our Prado. It’s helps that we haven’t been doing any serious off-road in the last 25000 km.

Could probably stretch it another 5000 if we didn’t finally have a trip coming up.

    D4 Tyres

Tyre opinions are like a....holes, every ones got one. Here is mine. Ive had 3 Discos now, Kumho, good tyre great traction done at 40K, original Michelins on td5 , great tyre, must have stopped making them because they lasted so long, Coopers, looked good performance great, sidewalls were stabbed to death , tougher AT version noisy as then delaminated on 2 tyres, rubbish. Now have Yokahama AT GO15 on Td5 , quiet, performance fantastic, looks like they will go over the 80K. Originals on the D4 are going well, no off road use just towing but wearing well, might do over 60-70K. When done will switch to the Yokahama AT GO15 in a 19inch rim,(they now make them) Cheers.
