I recall a saying about jumping in with both feet. Maybe I/we should run up to the door opening and jump in with both feet to avoid touching the door seal.

I have had at least 4 x replaced by warranty over 2x D4"s, along with some door trims. My seals get damaged by the seat belt not retracting, the seat belt hangs
halfway in the door and bangs and cut the seals and trims to bits. Very annoying.... As it happened over 2 x new cars, has anyone got a easy fix for the seat belt not retracting? I'm sure it can't be the only one with this issue.

    Thanks
    Jack

    Hi Jack.

I don't personally have the issue but my wife does sometimes. Usually caused by her pushing the belt towards the door and causing a twist/fold in the belt that gets caught in the top runner that feeds down to the bottom of the door pillar. Then then belt hangs out the door. If it's not that maybe the retractor mechanism needs tightening up - could be a loose or broken spring.

I don't seem to have a problem with mine and the cars 2 yrs old.
I am however quite OCD about how I get in and out. I also encourage my wife and kids to be the same, which doesn't always go down that well.
We all have regular type butts.
