Plugs done pretty easy to do and id say they were over due, feels better but that could just be my mind justifying the cost. be interesting to see how it goes power wise and economy wise next week when i tow the camper to Cobar (cliffhanger)
Still has a hunting issue where the rev hunt up and down when its cold under no load?

Do you mean hunting at idle, worse when cold ? If so, as a first pass, clean the throttle body and MAF sensor (and any other sensor you can get your hands on in the intake circuit !). Also reset engine ECU adaption if you have a suitable electronic tool (this makes a noticable difference because if the TB and sensors have been dirty then the ECU is ignoring certain airflow inputs and using a standard value).

No idle is fine, its when im diving at say 70kph in a high gear flat rd the revs hunt up and down probably a good 500rpm. im going to get a toothbrush and carby cleaner out on the throttle body in case it is it (being heated and all), but im sure i read on here somewhere its a transmission issue.
On a side note i brought an airbag switch to turn off the passenger airbag for when i have the laptop mounted their during nav events, bit of a fail it turns the airbag off but wont turn it back on, disconnected it and the airbag comes back on but the light is still on in the dash, might reconnect the switch and disconnect the battery and see if it will learn its now there???

Could be, no expert on trans issues (fortunately), but others around here have plenty of experience and might chip in.

I suppose the obvious question is has the fluid been changed ? If not, that might be a good place to start (I've done steel pan conversion and flush at about 130,000km - smoother is all the impact I had and it was quite smooth to start with).

Don't know on the second either, likely it has logged a fault that needs to be cleared before the airbag light will go off - if so, disconnecting battery won't assist matters.
