Was my first time out in the RRS and yes steady throttle makes life so much easier as does being in rock mode rather than mud and ruts!

    Cheers,

Mike, you are a brave man - I hope you know no disrespect was intended. Given it was was your first outing it's completely understandable why you were tentative! I probably wouldn't have attempted it(chickened out)! First time I saw the vid I couldn't believe how steep it was and it just seems to get steeper. The car did it easily.
    Cheers,

    Sean

D3 does Billy Goat Tk.Vic high country

Here's a link to video of my D3 tackling the infamous Billy Goat Tk in Victorias high plains.
I did this track about 12 years ago, don't remember it being this bad but the Disco did it well without drama. Mind you the hill decent came in handy and it was used for many of the very rough, steep ledge sections. I usually don't tend to use the HD but it was the safest option.

Sean, no offence taken just wanted to provide some context to me spinning wheels and making a bit of a meal of it! Should have been in rock crawl, doh.

I must say now I know how to drive the car and make best use of the technology it is incredible off-road. Although I'm not supposed to take it off-road due to previous panel damage, I will again be entering the W4 challenge, hopefully with muddies and GOE rims which should see a higher placement this year
