Thread: Rear Park Aid Speaker Muted

I replaced the park aid speaker this morning. What used to sound like a dying cockatoo being strangled, now has the sweet electronic beep of a modern airliners seat-belts-off signal.

Not a hard job, but you need a 50mm torx head driver to undo the seat belt anchor bolt. Also i followed the instructions provided by rufusking above, which said to throw away that anchor bolt and replace with new. However the replacement bolt provided by the dealer was not the right bolt. Too short. I think they misunderstood me and gave me the anchor bolt for the rear most seat belts, not the middle seat belts. So as it is the old bolt had gone back in.

Oh yes, one other thing. The speaker is on the passenger side (in a RHD vehicle).
