Bit tacky, especially the lower tailgate and the HSE Luxury badges on the front wings.

Yes, that looks quite ... er, um ... not my taste and exxy (but has some good stuff, 18" wheels, Mickey T's, TPMS, possibly a Long Range Tank, and you could remove or paint black the tasteless bits) ... I'd steer to another for one very simple reason : that one has no Logic 7. Also, it's a 5 seater, not sure if that matters to you. But I would say, if you're buying an older HSE, shop until you get one with Logic 7 you won't regret it !

Also, as far as speed goes ... well ... yes that can be a very significant issue on the open road ... but I did mange to renew my Licence recently for a 50% discount because I am a 'Good' driver (ie. not caught or cops couldn't stop laughing, not sure which).

The 14 speaker stereo system (can melt bones - it's the hifi equal of the motor). Has 2 speakers in each door, speaker in each rearmost pillar, tweeters in front doors, centre speaker, subwoofer and a big amp.

The bling can be fixed/removed; its expensive and at 127,000km and 9 years ... it had better have had some serious service records showing that the required things have been done and probably quite a few repairs/replacements in the suspension department.

I was cool with it. It blew some smoke when given the welly but an acceptable amount given my usual sedate driving. IMO.

Don't really know the answer to your question. They are diesels after all. Perhaps I'll have a better idea when I plant it with this new turbo and see how much "acceptable" is.

Are you using oil? They might not have been pleased with that and gone looking on yr car.

Keep us posted James I am interested in this, not that I have a problem, just trying to understand what attributes to this issue.
I see a lot of D4's and RRS on the road with what seems to be varying levels of smoke coming out the back in normal driving. I must say it actually seems to be the RRS that smoke more.
I will check my oil consumption, they did replace a hose or to as well as a seal or two but MLR picked up on it not me at the service. As I said I always keep an eye on the car.

    Cheers
    JB
