Changing TARE Weight of D4 V8 HSE

Just checked the Redbook for some stats on the V8 D4 and there is a difference of around 100 kg between the original MY10 V8 model and the MY13 V8 with the MY13 being 100 kg lighter which also means it has a extra 100 kg in load capacity.

My question is does anyone know if these different weights for each model year are correct or has Redbook stuffed it up?

And while I know there are very few V8 D4's out there I'd be interested to hear from any members who have one and their on going experiences with theirs.
    Cheers,
    Terry

Do you need to know this because of all the extra stuff your other half will carry when she gets one herself?

From the owners manual for my MY10.

Kerb weight (including full tank of fuel) 2548kg
Maximum gross vehicle weight (GVW) 3240kg

    MY13

Kerb weight (including full tank of fuel) 2550kg
Maximum gross vehicle weight (GVW) 3240kg

I pulled the MY13 numbers from the owners manual on topix.

Steak? 2kg would be a week's shopping for us poor, impoverished Queenslanders!

    For a family of four......

Actually I've been cutting down Rich, I usually now only have steak some where in between 1kg to 1.5kg. ...

Where as Gloria prefers a lamb chop, one must keep their protein levels up I believe. ...

The Red Book values would most likely be correct (Likely)
Depending on spec of vehicle, there are varying weight differences.
I know with mine that it is a heavier variant to other D4's as i have a factory Sunroof. This adds heaps of weight.

    Hi Sniegy,

The spec between a MY10 D4 V8 and a MY13 V8 is pretty much identical when looking at the standard features lists. So that is why I wondered why there was a 100kg difference between the two year models as stated in the Redbook.
    Cheers,
    Terry
