Thanks for the feedback, do you think the extra power noticeable, I know its not meant to be a sports car, but some extra grunt would be helpful.

What about long term issues, anything to worry about. My RRS has just clocked over 80000kms, so should have plenty of life in it. Would be a shame to do something that will reduce this.

Yes definitely but over time you get used to it but every now and then every now and then you say to yourself this thing pulls like a train or your passenger says - wow this car has some get up and go - all from 2.7 litres.

Well just the remap done today and have driven back from the workshop to home so far.
Is it worth it, I think so, noticeable extra grunt through the gears, put your foot down once underway and she really gets up and goes, nice!!!
Off the line there will always be the turbo lag, but put the foot down in the mid of the power band and it goes a lot harder.
So far very pleased, but as mentioned earlier, I'll probably get used to it and not notice the improvement as much.
Bang for buck, not bad. In the old days to get the same result, I had to put extractors, big exhaust, mild cam on my old WB ute and it probably didn't go much harder, but the sound was sensational. That was some 20 years ago, but wasn't it fun.
If anyone is interested in getting a remap, so far all seems good.

Turbo lag - not on my 2.7 TDV6 - gearbox delay on selecting the gear yes - the notorious pregnant pause.

What map did you go for?

Had it done at Ritters whilst in for a service, they quote the same increases as BAS and Bluefin, I guess they use similar modi factions to the ECU program.

So far the power increase is great, especially 2500-3500 rpm.

That matches up to what most of the 2.7 remaps do. Here's what the Superchips Bluefin reckon:

From 1800 RPM up is much better.

I've had the BAS remap on my previous D3 and reckon it was the better tune. The D4 2.7 on Bluefin is good - but from idle off the line is not as refined as the BAS on D3, imho.

Had the day at Lerderderg Gorge near Melbourne and the extra power from the remap is great Had my off road tyres on which are 32in and with the extra grunt especially on the highway was noticeable.
A friend on the trip who has the same RRS, with the same Maxxis Bighorns (we bought 8 tyres at once and got a good deal), we were side by side on the freeway and put the foot to the floor, my car pulled away no worries, also I had a roof rack cage with same spare tyre and driving lights on top, he didn't.

So pleased to same the remap has been a great result, worth the money.

    Said it was from Autologic????
Had a look at their website, but couldn't find anything about remaps.
But figures quoted are the same or very similar to BAS's, 22% increase in power and torque.
