Question D4 purchase, sharp dealer recommendations?

I am in the market for a TDV6 D4. Negotiations with the WA dealers has me currently at about $80K for white, 7 seats, leather, Hi ICE & reversing camera & zenon headlights.

Who are the sharper dealers in the eastern states that are worth testing prices against? Have any of you bettered this price lately for similar spec levels?

Happy to be PM'd if you wish.

    Cheers,

    Is that on road?

Out of interest I bought a higher spec but still TDV6 that started as a list price of $94,000 and got ~$6k off the price.

What you have listed I have a list price of $84,178.00 so I would say ~$80k is fairly reasonable.

I did price up a huge number of cars over east both Demo's, used and new. Only 1 really showed me the extra value for money for the extra stuff around and it was a demo in Sydney but of course it was sold with 2 days of being available.

Don't forget you have to get it registered in WA and pay stamp duty in WA. You can't really legally drive it from the eastern states as you need a WA permit which is valid for 2 days and is not recognized anywhere other than WA and I think SA.

A couple of us have driven cars back from the east illegally. In my case it was accidental as I didn't know about the permit requirements and thought I was covered by the existing NSW rego. Unfortunately that is not the case and I had to get a permit to drive it from home to the licensing centre after they told me I could not drive it.

If you do drive I recommend getting it licensed in Kalgoorlie or Esperance on the way through. I bought a trailer in SA and got a permit to Esperance, where it is easy to license as long as you meet all of the conditions, which was a bit more difficult for the trailer than a car.

I asked the same question around 6 weeks ago. I was going to order a MY14, but have decided to wait until next year when I finish work in China and order a MY15.

From the replies I received, Mac Land Rover in SA, Lennock Land Rover in ACT (Talk to Garreth), and Bruce Lynton Land Rover on the Gold Coast are the go.

Search for 'new D4 purchase' thread.

Is that new off-the-books or are you looking for an existing car .... floor stock, ex demo, etc?

I bought an MY13 run out at the beginning of this year. Built in October 2013, delivered to Australia in November 2013. It had never been registered and is an SE (so SDV6) with Hi-Ice, reverse camera, rear air, mats, flaps, tow kit, tint and transport for $85K (making the car probably around $81K or so.

This was from Cairns, delivered to Brisbane.

I believe if the car is un-registered Dealers can transfer them between each other. Not clear on on the details though.

    Good luck.

I'm aware of a sale last week of a white TDV6 SE 7 seat with Tech pack in Melbourne at $81K (had 800km on the clock), after a "hard battle" on Price.

    LOL ... Good On You!

I'm confused, Have LR changed the badging again? An SE TDV6? MY13 SE was STV6 ... as in the 183KW engine.

    Cheers,

The base model TDV6 engines are now the 3.0L in the lower state of tune 155kw and the SE and HSE models have the 3.0l engine in the 183kw tune this have been the case since they dropped the 2.7l I believe. They just call the base model the TD even though the engine is the same as the SD only a lower state of tune and other minor details. That's my belief anyway could be wrong.
