I have no idea how well the other after market solutions work, but as stated, pretty cheap, so maybe worth a try.


I'd try Bear Grip or similar, even just using a toothpick to get under the edges without peeling it back too much. ... its not like the original product is waterproof anyway :-(

I think the old version was the best version ... I dropped the new one once, a week after I got the car......everything exploded and one of the lugs had broken off the inside. Cheap Plastic rubbish!

Hahahaha your probably right there!!

Had mine replaced last service at MLR. (2010 D4) Cost around $12.

Both of ours are peeling and have been for some time, I have 3 weeks left under warranty so I have hit them up for 2 newies.

Thanks for the heads up to deal with the issue folks.
