The thread you refer to is actually about the said wheels affecting other componentry on the vehicle. Additionally if you read the thread, there is some doubt over what LRA should be liable for, but the general jist of the thread is the poor service response gained from LRA for one of their "premium" products.

Lots of people run the GOE wheels without issue, and I think that Compomotive are a big enough company with a high level reputation for premium wheels that they would not let be tarnished by selling dodgy gear.

The way I look at it is if the OD of the tire is within spec of the placcard, the width the same and the offset is correct, provided the wheels clear the brakes, there should be NO physical reason to void the warranty. It may be just LRA getting all high and mighty about it.

Just my $2 worth. We drive Land rovers, 2c wont get you anything.

I think they went out of business (Compomotive) .... or at least went into administration.

    Anyway.....

    I've got GOE 18s .... They Rock!!!

We'd have to ask Gordon for more clarity on that.

Something happened to the company but Gordon was trying to find a work around ... move the design (patent I suppose) to another manufacturer or maybe things didn't end up going completely pear shaped for the company.

It was discussed on this forum a while ago but I never followed up the progress .... selfish I know .... I already had 5 .

I think you will find it is something along those lines. Regardless, the manufacturing capacity is certainly still there. Gordon tells me I'll have mine early October after a new production run is completed.

    You'll love them.

I stuck LTZs on mine and they completely transform the car off-road....well on the sand and rocks I've used them on.

    Hi all,

As I reported some time ago, the parent company folded and Compomotive relocated to a new factory and are trading under their own name. There was a delay of 4 ~ 6 weeks over Christmas 2013 as they moved the tooling etc, but all was back on track a few months later.

    Cheers,

    Gordon
