Not sure I understand - while the standard jack is an unsafe heap of crap it will lift the car to the correct height.
So why couldn't you get yours to the correct height?
If you do a search there are plenty of threads on jacks.

I went on my first voyage of discovery in my Disco 4.
I had a bulbar, winch, extra fuel tank, dual tyre carrier,cb,drawers and drop down fridge plus roof rack fitted by ARB so felt reasonably well prepared.
However got a flat tyre approaching Camerons Corner which is no big deal until you find that the scissor lift jack supplied by Landrover would not lift the car grrrr, used the plug kit and got on my way.
Can anyone recommend a suitable replacement jack and do you have to use the designated lift points?

The Mercedes Sprinter jack was favourite. There was a discussion here: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/d3-d4-rrs/...nter-jack.html
