    D3 4.0 spark plugs

    Hi There,
Done a forum search on spark plugs for the V6 4.0 engine, not much found. Just wondering if the manual is right it specifies a Platinum plug a Motorcraft number AGSF 24PM to be replaced every 24,000 klms, as per this excerpt:- May be used with either LEADED or UNLEADED fuels but if used with LEADED fuel, they must be replaced at 15,000 mile (24,000 km) intervals "

Assuming with unleaded they can go to 150k until being replaced. Is there any other spark plugs that can be used such as NGK Iridiums. Are the Motorcraft ones the best?

    Cheers Marty

What about a NGK 3784 Platinum ? I understand that's what folk put in Ford Explorer 4.0 motors if they're not feeling patriotic

Apparently the NGK IFR5N10 #7866 also fits - this is the same plug as the V8, mine were like new after 140,000km.
