Major surgery occurring (on my D4)

For several months and 6 visits to the dealer my car has had a version of the "restricted performance" issue. Several things related to the air supply have been replaced, pressure sensors, flow sensors etc. Smoke pressure tests and leaks repaired yet the problem persists.

And so now for a new intake manifold and two new turbos....I hope this fixes it.

I'm pleased I am not footing the bill.

X2 - mine's had 2 versions of 1 reason (failed MAP sensor itself and MAP sensor wiring devoured by a rat) and the 2nd turbo isolation valve butterfly shaft jammed externally by grit, fixed with some manual exercising.

At least the restricted performance would be above a modified D2 output
I would like to know the symptoms.

Absolutely not! I've encountered 2 levels and the best was very casual with the worst barely safe to drive because it only crawled up hills at about 40 kph and had to be really coaxed to get over 60kph on flat ground.

Mine had a heap of restricted performances, that was heading to new turbos,
but then found it was the rubber bend on the air intake,(from inner guard to airbox) that under load was sucking closed.

The D3s had a perferated bend, but this D4 wasn't, and quite soft.

    Might be worth a look

    Good luck
