Thread: Bullbar for 2014 D4

Your in luck, I had mine fitted in May but not without a few problems as Rover had changed the shape of the new 2014 model. I have the HSE version and wanted the surround cameras duly included. Opposite Lock at Rockdale believe they did the first in Australia with mine - cost was just over $2K.

I have heard of a little price variance before...but that seems a little over the odds and it includes the surround cameras too.

Andrew, it would be interesting to hear how one store can vary so much from another under the same banner...are they Franchised?

Pretty sure they own thier stores.
One store said they dont like Land Rovers and are not interested,go se ARB.
I have 2 prices in the $2600 region from other WA OL stores.One said they are busy doing mine vehicles and Land Rovers are hard work,couldnt supply pics of work done,cant do the job for 6 to 8 weeks.
The OL store I ordered from,OL Bunbury have been Landy friendly ever since I can remember(had Defenders and a D3 in the past),were happy to work on Landies and were happy to provide pics of their first D4 MY14 fitment,despite having to send it away to Kalgoorlie incomplete as parts went missing during delivery and wernt able to have them air freighted in in time.
Its $400,not worth getting upset over,the D4 was $80000,and has had another $6000 spent since.
Rather a top notch job and pay for it to be done properly by somebody who is happy to get the work,I didnt haggle on their price!!!!,their pics look good.

Could you post a piccie and is it a winch bar

When does yours go on Andy ? Toby has told me 5 week wait time .

A mate of mine has his updated model OL bar made to fit his MY14.

He is not over the moon, tbh. Mainly because it definitely a winch bar and he has no intention of fitting a winch. This should not be a problem but there are two large holes and some smaller on the top of the main cross bar where the winch controls presumably access the winch and a big hole in the front where the winch goes. He doesn't like having the holes there catching dirt and water, and in extreme cases bits of roo.

He also doesn't like the dimple powdercoat finish that is more of a dark charcoal than the jet black he saw at the shop in an earlier version. That's a matter of personal taste and he said he'll get over that.

I haven't seen it myself but I can say for sure it is very much a winch bar. Too much of a winch bar, not like my ARB bar which is also a winch bar but is fine with no winch.

He has no complaints about the quality and the strength.
