    Is that a Kaymar bar?

The rIjidig one seems to block the indicator and rear lights. Is that true

Another issue is that I want SWC that has some sort of dampners on it when opening. I live on a block with a slop and do not want to be taken out when I open the door.

Yes, Kaymar bar and RWC with Rijidij rear light on mine.

Ean's is the rigidij RWC which appears to use the original LR rear bar.

I haven't seem a Rijidij RWC in a D3/4 in real life... so I will leave Ean to comment about blocking the rear light.

However with 19 inch rims.... the Kaymar does block a fair bit of that rear light too.... before adding the rear light.. reversing light on the right was rubbish as the tire blocked most of it.

The Kaymar does have a gas dampner too.

I have the Outback Accessories single wheel carrier. Very happy with it.

It has a gas strut which holds the carrier and wheel in either the fully open or fully closed position - it won't move if opened on a side slope, and I can also drive the vehicle with the carrier closed if I have forgotten to "latch" it closed. The "latch" on mine is positioned a bit closer to the centre of the vehicle than the one on the Rijidij carrier appears to be. One of the reversing sensors has been removed on mine to allow for placement of the latch. The reversing sensors have worked without problems since the carrier was installed - the fact that one is missing doesn't seem to have made any difference.

The wheel covers the right hand tail lights to the point that addition of another light becomes a legal requirement. The light supplied with the wheel carrier is a pretty ordinary square trailer light - I replaced this with the LED light in the photo purchased on line - it looks a bit more like the original lights on the vehicle.

The Rijidij single wheel carrier, when mounted on the original bumper, places the wheel further towards the centre of the vehicle, and an additional light is not required.

What capacity fuel tank is that in yours Ean. It appears to be sitting a lot lower than mine does.

When mounted on a Kaymar rear bar, the Rijidij carrier appears to sit further to the right of the vehicle - but the Kaymar bar already has additional tail lights fitted, so the legal requirements are met.

The Rijidij carrier appears to also have the advantage that the top section of the unit is adjustable so that you can move the wheel closer to / further away from the vehicle (handy if you are running larger / wider tyres). The Outback Accessories unit does not have this feature.

I like the Kaymar bar - love the thought of that solid lump of steel across the back of the vehicle - but the extra weight and cost put me off getting one. I had the wheel carrier AND 100 litre long range tank supplied and fitted for not much more than the same cost as some people are quoting on here for just a wheel carrier.
    Cheers .........

I can highly recommend Murray as well, the rear work light is top notch quality and his service is second to none and a nice bloke to talk too as well.

I got a Kaymar rear bar on my D3. It was already on the car when I brought it.
I do love having the solid steel rear end -dont have to worry about ripping plastic bumpers off (which I managed to do on my previous 80 series land cruiser)
