More than likely to keep it legal yes it would and if I did it then I would get it engineered, which isn't that hard but can be a bit expensive. But as I said I have not made up my mind yet what direction I will go in.
    Cheers,
    Terry

19 is an annoying size due to lack of LT tyres. Not that that has ever affected my life very much. Be interested to see which way you go !

I have had a set of 20" Nitto Terra Grapplers on the D4 for over 7,000 k's and they so far are a great tyre.

Quite, grip well in the wet, handle well in the dry, only had one day playing in the rough stuff on the weekend at The D3/D4/RRS trip but they held up in the rough and worked well for what they are.

Best thing of all is they were only $260 each fitted.

Chances are I won't be doing to much more with them off road though as I am struggling to get my head around doing the stuff we do off road with 20" rims. But as they are a good road tyre I am more than happy to keep them on as a very day driver plus they look way better then standard highway tyres.

As far as I am concerned its only a short matter of time if it keeps getting used off road before rims and tyres are wrecked. So before the D4 gets used in anger again off road I will be investing in different sized rims, however that is my choice and its up to others to make their own decisions.
    Thanks Terry.

Were your Terra Grapplers 275/55 or did you get a smaller size ?

    Cheers,
    Andrew

Keep in mind that the relative (better) traction performance of the D4 3.0 ltr is in part due to the brake disk/calliper size - no overheating and more precise control when in Rock-Crawl.

I echo your comments Terry, being the other person out on the D3/D4/RRS weekend with 20" rims I managed to get another scratch on one, right where the sidewall would be on a 18" rim. While the range in 20" tyres is getting larger I'd rather start marking a $500 GOE rim than a $1000 LR rim. Just need to find some storage space at home!!

    Cheers,

    Andrew

Nah mate, shiny silver. If they were those great hand painted black ones I would have cried over the damage I did to them last weekend!!
