Thread: LED High Beams

Would led's even be legal as cars are approved & ADR'd to use specific globes, so if you were to replace say a halogen with an LED, could that, if taken to its ultimate conclusion be deemed as an illegal modification and then the ramifications that can be associated with that

As far as I can tell, the LEDs (and most HID conversions) are not ADR approved. The LEDs also put out less light than bulbs - and the output is in the wrong spot. All around, a bad idea to convert a high beam to LEDs - at this point in time, imho.
