Thread: What happens when you get rid of 2 Defenders?

I once met a bloke who said he knew of one of those very rear Defenders that didn't come with ankle washers and air dryers.

Apparently it was a late Friday arvo build car and the workers were worn out after a big week making at least half a dozen Defenders to meet the insatiable world wide demand for the legendary 4x4, anyway, by mistake they ended up bolting it together properly so the doors sealed and the roof and floors didn't leak and even the engine started most of the time.

When word got out about the stuff up I was told LR sacked those guys on the production line for not meeting the very strict Defender build standards that had been achieved over decades of refinement. ...

The reason they sacked them ... They said that a Defender that was bolted together properly and was reasonably reliable and didn't leak, water, dust, dirt or muck in general lacked character!

Now us Disco owners finally know what we have been missing out on for all these years and why Defender owners reckon our Land Rovers are inferior. It's because our vehicles lack character.

Hahaha...

Had a Disco before the Defender
Then post Defender had D2 and D4...
Wife sold D2 to get a D90 (thanks Digger)...

And when the lease is up, will keep the D4 and add either a new Defender or whatever Or go silly and get a Mustang or similar Bogan noise making toy.

Plus, the 90 will make a change to seeing this...
