What is the message description? The fault could be anywhere between the TCCM pcb and the switch pack and given the common contact faults at the TCCM, the cause could simply be a corroded contact at the particular TCCM connector that needs a cleanup.

Mine sometimes has a similar fault code and every now and then the backlit light for high range is flickering or fading in and out like a bad contact. Seems to fix itself when warm which makes me think just a bad contact somewhere.
Its been absolutely inconsequential so far so i don't give it any thought. I wouldn't worry about it. I'd be more worried if it said there were no faults - a bit like when they don't leak oil... generally means they are out of oil.
(Having said that this is my first LR that has not had any oil leaks).

The high - low rocker button is backlit, depending on what range is selected. That's what i was referring to.

Yes, and the light that it lit on the rocker switch to indicate that high range is selected on mine has failed and thus I have the error mentioned. It really doesn’t matter - purely cosmetic.

and it all becomes clear - i thought there was another light on the dash The rocker switch is actually painfully obvious now...

I thought i saw the ability to test these lights using the IID tool at one stage - not in front of me, so can't confirm that
