    MY2014 HDD Navigation

    Hi all

Got a new freelander 2 on loan while D4 is in for service.

The message centre in the instrument panel display shows navigation instructions.

Not seen on the D4 but given the MY2014 model was updated quite substantially would assume they'd be similar given the navigation system and instrument panel looks the same.

Anyone seen this feature on the D4 at all?

I find the owners manuals pretty useless with regard to detail. Nothing mentioned in either the D4 one or the freelander 2 one in relation to this.

    Thanks

thanks (assume you mean MY12 Discovery rather then freelander) - any idea how you activated that?

My vehicle set-up menu literally only has options for locking doors on set off and delay for lights staying on.

Owner's manual really isn't very good in terms of detail on some things.

It is a standard feature with the Navigation, as far as I am aware.

There is nothing to set-up, it just does it.

Thanks - just to be clear we're both talking about the discovery (not freelander that I started with) and the navigation instructions showing up in the instrument message centre between the speedo and revs?

It doesn't show up on mine....

I have a MY13 Disco, and it shows up on the Message Information Centre in front of the steering wheel.

It is only a very basic, cut down version of what is on the main display thou.

For example, it will only show you the next turn, when you are about 400m out from it. It doesn't show a map or anything else.

thanks - yes that's what I was expecting after seeing it on the freelander; just basic information. But it doesn't show up at all right now and I can't see any options for it.
