Llams switches preferred locations in D4

I am arranging for Davis Performance to supply & install Llams in my MY14 D4. I'm also getting them to install Redarc Tow Pro (headlight binnacle mount).

I haven't found too much info on where people are mounting the current version of the Llams switches in D4's. Most info is for D3's.

So far it seems that a good location for dial is small panel right side of steering wheel, adjacent headlight switch but would appreciate thoughts/options/etc. Not sure for LED.

Davis are quite happy to take customer's advice (within reason) regarding mounting.

    Cheers,
    Scott

PS ... I posted this under Llams in Verandah but realised it should be here due to being a general question.

Mine is on the steering column where the control would be for the electric steering adjustment. I find I don't need to look at it and it's easy to reach.

Wack the llams in the left hand 12v socket next to terrain response, and the redarc head unit in the 12v hole to the right of the terrain response. Jobs a good un. You may need to fabricate something to bridge the 12v socket holes. Circular piece of plastic, for example.
Console is an easy remove to access said holes - just pull up from the back edge.

My Llams controller is fitted in the drivers side 12v (cig lighter) hole like Jimlr recommended. Works a treat there, just had a Tow Pro fitted as well, as you said up on the headlight binnacle is the go.
    Cheers,
    Terry

Terry and Jim, can you fit the LED switch in with controller at 12v socket?

I guess it depends on lead length.

    Cheers,
    Scott

So is mine in my MY12. I can also remove it later and put it all back to standard if required.

LHS of steering wheel binnacle, i find the best spot.
In the spot where you would otherwise have electric column controls, if you have them then the other side.

    Cheers
