    Cruise control on strike

Just been away for a couple of days and my cruise control has decided to start playing up and not working intermittently. All was going well until I got to a point and pressed the resume buton - nothing, pressed + - nothing again. Drove for about another hour or so, pressing the cruise buttons randomly before it would come back to life again and decide it would work. Some thing happened today day as well. Anyway after the first occurrence I decided I'd plug in my iid tool and see if any faults had logged - that's when I found what's going on - cruise buttons not working to navigate with the iid tool. I don't think the issue is any particular button as they both drop out, seems more to be an issue that's common to both of them. Anyone experienced this or have any Ideas on adult finding?

Do the D3s suffer from worn "clock Springs" like the D1/D2/RRC???Its the conection between the steering wheel and the steering shaft that wears out and stops steering wheel functions working.
