the best way I have found to install them is to remove them from the body and put them on the tabs on the sill and then push the sill into place
I've just had my first experience with LR door sill clips while installing a dual battery system.
They are the most useless thing I have ever come across!!!
Does anyone do a replacement clip that actually works?

Is it the interior trim yellow plastic clips? I suffered the same grief when fitting our dual battery system as they are troublesome and fragile if not correctly aligned when refitting.
I had to order some new ones in the end. The part number is EYC106710.
mmm, that was interesting, tried to edit and ended up with a double post?
Definitely fit them to the trim. Leaving them in the holes and trying to push the trim into them is a surefire way to lose them into the floor cavity.
That was my experience after mucking around for ages. Used my little telescopic magnet thingy many times till it dawned on me to fit them to the trim them push them in.
That, among other things is why fitting the DBS took me so darn long and why i reckon I could do it in half the time next time!

The easiest way to get them out is to hook some wire into the clip, push it down into the sill cavity, turn it over and pull it out bum first.......yeah, install on the trim.
