Does ARB have spring kits for coilers?

I've been asked by a person in Germany whether ARB have spring kits for coiler D3s and D4s. He's pretty sure that ARB had such kits some years ago but I can't find any reference. I can only find the Pedders kits.

Hi Graeme, if they ever did they would most likely have been King Springs.

Interesting because it worked in the past and they have 2 front choices, 2 rear choices and shocks available...

The only one that I could confirm was Dobinson, they do springs and shocks with a 40mm lift. I had them on my D3 for a couple of years before the upgrade to the D4 and I was very happy with them for the price which was around $850 delivered for the set.

Why not just contact ARB head office (Bayswater, Victoria) and ask them - they can be reached by phone or email...?

I used King HD springs (forgot the part numbers, ive listed them elsewhere on this site if you doa search) and maxi trac extended travel shocks from Repco (i know they are cheap but seem to do the job well and never any issues with warranty return even if you destroy them with rocks or something(which is unlikley given they are protected somewhat by the coil in a D3, but have returned a set from an 80 series that took a whack on a rock and they replaced no questions!

also price is cheap, as is the price on the King springs, ride is firmer than stock, but not unbearable, still pretty plush. and thats the HD (supposed +500kgs) I gained a pretty significant lift with them too (more than I wanted actually! and it hasnt settled much at all either!)

I dunno, I have never touched ARB stuff since I remember the principal Alan Brown? ( many years ago) doing an interview and stating that Land Rover didn't know what they were doing with spring rates and they had to be much stiffer. They AFAIK do not publish the spring rates either so you get a pig in a poke, a stiff one at that.

With a philosophy like that I wouldn't deal with them, as if I wanted a ride like a Jeep I would have bought a Jeep.

I also recall them saying that Monroe Wyley ( who made their shocks)had no idea about shock rates and the OME shocks were revalved so they would match their springs.

Well I did buy OME shocks once many years ago and they were OK but quite stiff , IMHO so that buyers could FEEL a difference.

I currently have a set of Monroe Sensatrac and they are fine by me , having been around OZ and having some big dents that would have killed my Billies.

So ARB to me stands for Always Reliable for BS.
