I use a vac. pump on between services (every 10K) but note that the indie (every 20K) drains the oil while it's on the hoist. That's OK with me and feel that with it being changed every 10k will help stop the formation of sludge.
I also get just under a 6 litres out by evacuation.
Wouldn't know how the stealer does it as I don't use them after a bad experience years ago.

I think you're right. I give the pump an extra few strokes and just let it keep going while I change the filter or muck about checking other stuff. Cleanest way of changing oil I've ever done. :)
But I would still like a dipstick......

Umm. Yes. The D4 3.0 is designed for oil extraction (hint: there's no dipstick). The 2.7 is not (hint: there's a dipstick). You've used the wrong tool for the job. You can't blame the tool.Quote:
