I use a vac. pump on between services (every 10K) but note that the indie (every 20K) drains the oil while it's on the hoist. That's OK with me and feel that with it being changed every 10k will help stop the formation of sludge.
I also get just under a 6 litres out by evacuation.
Wouldn't know how the stealer does it as I don't use them after a bad experience years ago.

I think you're right. I give the pump an extra few strokes and just let it keep going while I change the filter or muck about checking other stuff. Cleanest way of changing oil I've ever done.
But I would still like a dipstick......

And if you do spill any oil in the valley - you can just suck it up.

Well got one of these and went to use today. Useless on the 2.7. I can get maybe 2.5-3 litres out and that is it. Must be the way the dipstick fits into the sump. Not impressed at all. Stuffed around for an hour, quicker to take the bash plate off and drop the sump plug. Shame the 2.7 is not fitted with the extraction point.
Currently see this being a waste of money after being told how easy it makes life, not.
