    Brembo Rotors- Opinion please

    Hi All,

Recently received rotors from UK listed but now obviously German based parts company. On inspection I have found the both rear (same length, depth and width, but not location in relation to studs) and one front rotor have machined 'groves'. The other front supplied has no groves.

It doesn't seem right to me.

    Thoughts???

Either way I would be insisting on a matched pair...

Yep, just for balancing the rotor. They will be different, just like your wheel weights are different.

Thanks Guys. I've done some stuff with brakes over the years but hadn't seen this type of thing.

Either way I'm referring to the fact they are 2 different castings (tooling) and may have varying metallurgical characteristics.

I'd be wanting 2 castings from the same profile tooling.

Ah, you're right! I didn't notice that. Absolutely, I'd be swapping them for a matching set also.

I suspect they are different as the photos are of front and rear.

Yes, dark coated disk is front. The lighter coated one is the rear. The two rears look the same with the machined groove the same length, width and depth.

As a Joe average customer how would you get a 'matched set'?
