TOPix VIN numbers and specs
Do these all line up? I am seeing a difference in specs on a dealer contract vs what it's VIN# shows.

If it doesn't have the features you ordered then you can decline to accept that one - after-all you agreed to specific features, not to a particular VIN. I explicitly didn't want 2 features on the D4 I ordered but LR built all first-batch D4s with the features so another had to be ordered that didn't have the features. Unfortunately it resulted in another 6-8 weeks wait but I very much did not want those features.

I didn't check - only got told the features prior to its arrival.
About the only Topix discrepancy I've heard of is the occasional trim colour error but someone who works at a dealership would really know.

Interesting points were revealed when I went to inspect the car.
Apparently, the TOPix VIN reveals what the standard is for the choice. As the
deal improves with upgrades in stereo lights etc, these are not reflected in the VIN
but they are really on the car as per the number prefix on the item in the dealer's contract.

OK, but contrary to my experience from just a few years ago although that was mostly with regards to e-diff fitted or not which is not able to be changed as build nears completion.

And yet, I ordered an e-diff, and that was on the TOPix VIN description.
The stuff that wasn't on the VIN that are in the car, the Meridian sound system, and the signature DRL which now are a package with Xenons.
Go figure!

I was saying that features such as the e-diff and paint colour would be correct because those features could not be changed just prior to end of the build, whereas headlights and sound systems get fitted near the end of the build so could be changed during the build.
