    Permagrin topup time

Off to the city EARLY tommorow, may even get to test my Fyrlyts
Off to the caravan and camping show.
Sunday I get to tow for the first time in the D4.
Got offered free firewood I was already paid to cut(many years ago)!!!!! Actually destroyed a chainsaw,at my cost on the job so happy to collect the firewood I cut 10 years ago.Aint karma a good thing
I also have been offered more firewood in the way of 150 secondhand jarrah fence posts that will be burnt if I dont want them.
Said YES PLEASE,all the local firewood cutting areas were burnt out in the recent Boddington fire. There is a winters season supply in what I have been offered

Really impressed how Snow White goes on gravel towing.
4 60km return trips today collecting the firewood.1 tonne loads, the only reason I knew the load was there was the way the computer keeps the auto in its peak tourque spot.It was fun to drive, had to actually keep backing off to find 100kmh.

The firewood work didnt seem to hurt the fuel consumption much,it was indicating 10.1 L/100 for this tank wich was just over 1/2 used, its showing 11.1 L/100 now and 75km until empty after some spirited driving.

Will have a D2(Rock Dr,Steve) as backup on the West Cape Howe trip
First true off-roading adventure in Snow White.Klonk, another Steve (and his good lady) from Albany who is rebuilding a Ser1 could be joining in as passengers.

A relaxed trip to Albania, refused to get my knickers in a twist with the idiots from the city trying to die or get there 5 minutes early.
Snow White returned her best indicated fuel economy yet,and by a long shot.8.6l/100km for the 250km trip.Due to the heavy traffic most of the speeds were 90 to 100kmh,with a few quick blasts to round up caravans WHEN it was my turn, not coming from 10 back like many were!!!!
Plenty of law on the road, saw 7 patrol cars on the trip plus an almighty big booze bus on arrival to Albany.

Same on Indian Ocean Drive north of Perth up to Lancelin , I just cant believe the antics of and totally unsafe acts of insanity as displayed by some of the drivers leaving for the Easter break .

The idiot factor is one of the reasons why I'm not fussed about getting away on the Easter break - plus the fact I go back to work Monday dosent help much either

    Andy,

You will probably get some pin stripes on the West Cape Howe track. I've been on it in my D4 many times with no problems.

Are you going on the beach at Muttonbird Island and along the tracks from the west end of the beach to Cosy Corner? That is a good drive on the way to West Cape Howe and there is even a creek crossing that is quite deep this year.
