    iPhone - iPad reversing camera

    Hi all

Im not sure if this has been posted elsewhere but I have come across a great app that links your iphone and ipad for video streaming in real time. Its called Baby Monitor (no connections or alliance).

My 2011 D4 SE has the reversing sensors which is fine for most things but when it comes to hitching up a trailer or caravan, not so good. Now I simply open the app on both devices, place my iPhone in where the trailer connections sit, iPad on the front passenger seat and reverse up. Clear & easy.

Obviously more hassle than a dedicated reversing camera but certainly an easy fix for hitching up trailers, etc.

How do you get the iPhone to point where you want it? Do you have a phone mount attached somehow?

I have used it for checking things on the car while you are fixing your car alone

Like when you need to check the steering or play. Place the iPhone under the car and the iPad on the dash and then move the steering wheel and watch for play

Once I take the cover off for the trailer connections (where the trailer plugs are), my iphone sits nicely on the L side with the camera directly over the tow ball. So its fixed directly over the ball, jammed between the bumper and car trailer plugs.
If its still confusing I'll grab a photo.
