Power at rear trailer socket - amps?
I know this has ben discussed before but i cant find the right answer.
There are two power circuits to the rear trailer plugs. Both are fused in the lower passenger compartment fuse box. Fuse 48 is battery feed and is 15amp. Fuse 54 is ignition feed and also 15amp. This is in a MY15 D4 HSE.
In other posts and wiring diagrams i have seen 20 and 30 amps being stated for these circuits. Has this been reduced down to 15amps or was it always 15 amps?

My12.....my fuses are 30 and 20.
Brett....
Just checked Topix & 15MY wiring diagram says:-
Switched (Pin 6 White Plug) = 15A,
Permanent Supply (Pin 4 White Plug) = 30A.

SubscriberThanks for looking into this Sniegy. The location and fuse numbers are in the first post above. Its got me stumped. I nearly wired up the caravan's electronic stability control to this circuit thinking it was 30amp. Lucky i checked the fuse...i may not have had any stability control on the caravan when i need it the most.

Sorry Pete, I didi read this yesterday & did not re-read the post today.
Wiring Diagram Says 30A @ Fuse 48 in the CJB & 15A @ Fuse 54 in the CJB.
This is from 15MY VIN 731301 Onwards.
What does the Owners Hand Book say out of curiosity & also the little icon in the fuse chart on the rear of the glove box?
I am only taking a guess, but someone may have popped the fuse at build & just grabbed a fuse to replace it if the icon & owners hand book say different.
Cheers

						SubscriberHi Pete,
The label says 15 amp for both. See picture (if attachement worked).
My serial number seems to be after the number you gave (it is 7387nn)
Bit of a mystery... Land Rover doesnt seem to do much for us poor Aussies using the discovery for towing....
