Hi mate, sorry that I can't answer your question directly but have you tried shifting the fader to be more biased to the rear? On the standard '50/50' I found my se to be very front biased. May be worth a try if you haven't already
Hi All
My 2011 Discovery 4 SE has the 9 speaker sound system which doesn't include speakers in the rear D pillar. Having a large family we use the rear seats and my son, who sits in the back, is continuously asking for the volume to be turned up.
I'm thinking about fitting some speakers to the rear pillar but wanted see how they fit in those vehicles that have the 11 speaker system. I was hoping someone that has speakers fitted in the D pillar could post some photo's of these speakers so I can get an idea of best location, size and orientation.
Thanks for your help.

Yeah, have tried adjusting the fader settings but the rear speakers are in the front of the second row doors. So they just don't reach the very back well enough without it being very loud in the front.
Sorry, not great news...
Different amp, different loom....
I take it you don't have RSE?
If you do just plug in a set of headphones.
We have 2 kids that are all but deaf & we let them use headphones on long trips for either the stereo or DVD.
I wonder if you don't have RSE you could hook up a set of headphones somehow to the stereo?
Only problem is when you want the kids attention it's a matter of hand signals being conveyed from child to child - ends up like Chinese Whispers.

I have the HK Logic 7 and it has speakers about 3/4 of the way up the D pillar. Will grab a photo and share. We have a MY12.
Mine look like this. Imagine D4 would be much the same. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1429136391.539661.jpg
