It all looks like it was working as per normal, The inside wheel was also slipping so transferring the drive would not have happened as instantaneous as you would of thought/liked.
Can i ask what gear you were in? As i assume the vehicle stalled??
Backing off then re-applying throttle gently but firmly would of worked

    Cheers

Having done Gordons course, the trick is NOT to use full throttle(DSC off),full throttle invokes the DSC despite it being turned off.
The only real off-road trip Ive done in my D4 really surprised me how well the electronics work,no need for the olde fashioned bootfull

Yep DSC robbed me of power, so yes I'm thinking I should of had DSC off as I normally do. I was remembering Baz mentioning he leaves it on except for sand so that's why I tried it.
Mind you after I switched off DSC I still had a couple of occasions that it cut in stopping me in my tracks.
Thats why I'm not happy with Traction Control in this extreme type of terrain.
2 ARB Airlockers would of been better I'm sure.

I would definitely have DSC off Rich. Another thing to remember is that with each new iteration of the vehicle, the traction control has been improved. A 2015 D4 will work out what it has to do in situations like that far more effectively. Easy to forget that your yours is 10 years old - just goes to show how good they are!

PS. What does old mate who "does not like traction control" drive?

    Yes, wrong throttle Input

And have a think about it. If the vehicle didn't prevent "extreme wheel spin" the torque they make nowadays is likely to break something

In this case mate - too much welly, pressures too high and possibly a slightly off line.

    Easy enough to do
