I fitted my Kaymar Kit on the weekend.

I had to cut a corner of the RH side inner as it was hitting the exhaust.

I ditched the supplied mud flaps and got a longer wider set from Repco I am still not 100% happy with the size so a trip to Clark Rubber is on the cards to find some decent rubber to make some mud flaps.

The Kaymar kit is a good starting point its just pity that Kaymar didn't provide decent mud flaps.

    Hi Barry,

No. Although Nicole has been very helpful, they should only be another 1-2 weeks, that was last week from a remodelled setup. Nicole did say, they have a test vehicle coming in for tweaking, hope they read my comments on fitment and clearances.

Still not happy with crappy mud flaps leaving a gap. I hope they refine a better bigger flap to take advantage of extra mounting holes in the existing plastics, not that it will provide strength, just from a cleaning perspective, less nooks and crannies.

    Regards

    Gerald

From the maker of the van I tow, a user (an ex GMH Automotive engineer) put flaps on his 200 series, and used a composite reinforced rubber material, that did not wear much..

Here is the link and the type of material he bought (written in blue ink by hand):

    Reglan Rubber (the maker/supplier)
Natural Insertion Premium Heavy Duty Nylon

    Hope the link works

I think this is what you mean, only issue, 10mtrs is the minimum length.

I sent them a photo of mine as well showing the gaps. The RH mud flap also hits the exhaust even after cutting some of it off!

    An update,

Kaymar have had my vehicle for a week and new brackets are made and fitted, shaped to D4 guard and to the carrier interface.

Will be picking up the vehicle Friday afternoon and will have a chat with Andrew.

Earlier in the week, Andrew had admitted Kaymar have had a couple of complaints, but needed a sample vehicle to rectify the issue. Done.

I must give Kaymar a plug for customer service, Nicole and Andrew have been extremely helpful and accommodating. I assume the new brackets are a replacement at zero additional cost.

Will post a couple of photos over the weekend.

    Regards

    Gerald
