My MY10 3.0 started blowing oil smoke on start-up prior to the secondary turbo drain fix being done, then no smoke on start-up thereafter. I'm reminded of my 1st TD5 D2 when the service manager told me that all engines use some water - that was prior to destroying its head from overheating.

It's amazing what some service managers will claim to avoid fixing something. It just beggars belief sometimes. They must think we're idiots. My first car had numerous minor issues. I gave them a typed up list and said keep the car as long as you need. Needless to say half of the problems weren't fixed including the drivers seat leaning against the sear belt tensioner - apparently quite normal until I asked why the passengers seat wasn't the same - washers missing from the drivers seat mount. I then rang the Sales Manager and complained saying that at this rate they'd never see me or any of my friends again. Fixed in one day after that. Haven't been back since.
