    Donaldson common rail filter

We have a brochere at work featuring a new product from Donaldson,a hi-flow water trap filter to suit common rail diesels.
Ive found the relevent online copy, perhaps useful in the D3/D4 fuel systems????
Have a look see, post your thoughts.

    Thanks
    Andrew

    Gday Andrew,

I posted a pic of the racor equivalent that was fitted to a D3. I cant see why it wouldn't work, just need to work out the mounting and protecting of the filter housing but also making it easy to access. I am not sure of the L/R fuel lines but it must be able to be adapted as I have seen it done.

I am looking at this option but will leave the existing filter in situ.

    Any idea on cost ?

    Cheers Ean

Interesting Andrew, that P550588 filter is the one that we use on Tdi's, it spins onto the Bosch head.

    Hi Andy,
If you have a part number, I can price one up at the office tomorrow.
( I'm a Donaldson dealer at work ) just for the exercise.
I couldn't read the pamphlet you posted very well. I couldn't see anything
    for a Land Rover.

And yes, you already know the answer at the dealership.......
You might to want to wait another 2 1/2 years ..... Ha ha
