Or drill and tap a hole in the side than use a grub screw

We discussed using a grub screw,as I wish to be able to use the original jack top as it will be used for the camper trailer too.
I have sent him the links to WhiteD3s pics,I feel that will be the easiest way.He can get laser cutting done pretty cheaply he tells me.

Was speaking to a D4 owner yesterday.......he positions his jack under the control arm.

He was in his Range Rover classic so I could look under.....is there any issues with jacking from this point??

Yep .................. that's where I position the trolley jack if I'm lifting mine out in the shed.

Have only ever had to use the OEM Land Rover jack once (in Tassie), and positioned that where it says to in the owner's manual (see ............ I DO read the instructions ............... sometimes).

Nearly had to figure out a way to use the OEM jack to get myself out of trouble out in the bush recently. Got stuck on a rather large rock under the LHS rock slider. Managed to get it off with the suspension though.

At least I got through the track though - the two rice burning 4WD's that were with me couldn't.

A little bit of panel beating required to the mounting brackets for the slider (didn't damage the tube itself though, which surprised me - they are stronger than they look).
    Cheers .........

My boy got back with a price.
He is going with the steel version AnD3ew posted.
We are going with a slip over the jack adapter, its never going to move under load, just keep the adapter in the door pocket or something,if you want to weld or put a set screw in,thats your choice.Best the jack can be used as it is sold.
It will be a 1 off run of 50,I told him min 25(to get a price) which we almost have,so I will have plenty of spares into the future.
He will get the parts laser cut and he will tig weld them,we are talking $12.00 per item, plus the aussie post P/H.
The quality will be tops.My boy is in his 3rd year of engineering at UWA,his poorest exam result sofar has been 86%,the best 99%,and lots in the 90% range.Must get him DNA tested Anything he has produced here of his lathe is awesome!!!!
No need to comit to a buy yet,I will get it all done, adapters made then will sort that bit out.He is posting me a plastic tester first.

I have the omega jack and the jack head has a 27.5 diameter which would fit with this bracket, so I am interested as well
