I saw a few adds on Foxtel for these during Bathurst.
The featured vehicle was fridge white just like mine,no better colour
Black pack,20" wheels, privacy glass, electic fold mirrors(the vehicle was shown folding its).
BEAST,looked a million bucks, unsure what other extras are thrown in.
There were only 3 adds worth watching during Bathurst, the D4 add,the Supercrap add where the XA GT coupe owner was looking for a sponge to wipe up after his mrs broke her waters and the feminine hedge trimmer add, which I only saw once,I bet it was pulled

Could you tell if it was an SE or HSE? I was originally set on a TDV6 but most of them are so specked up they cost as much as a SE. I am moving to Brisbane at the end of the year and will get serious about selling the F6. I am not ruling out a used D4 if I get the right warranty. I have seen some very good 2012 HSEs with low Ks. My three year old wants a blue LR. I don't think that she considers the Disco to be a proper LR so it doesn't matter what colour really. I have a grey D3 and had a grey Defender 90. Love the colour but they show up the scratches too easily.
I intend to get my transmission serviced before the move and I may well hang on to the D3 for another year. It's just the fuel economy that hurts. There is nothing wrong with it. I may have to change some bushes as well. I currently lease the F6 and to lease a D4 will be the same as it will use a less fuel and insurance will be less. The only catch with leasing is it can't be more than 7 years old at the end of the lease which limits me to cars that are 2-3 years old.

Hilarious! How are a few black bits and window tinting worth $9000 'value'? Even if they threw in a free 110 Perentie I'd struggle to see the 'value' in paying $100K+ for this. ...But then I guess it's all about perceived luxury these days with LR isn't it.

I saw that ad the other day, and offered to buy one for the missus. She suggested I try my whipper snipper out on myself first to see if it works...

Funny thing is that on a Toyota, black external mirrors mean a lower end model ... so too do black door handles. On Discos, grey door handles mean a base model ...
The wheels do look good and would be easier to clean. But then so do the GOE wheels and the lower cost 18" tyres will save one heaps ...
Maybe I should get a black can of Plasti-Dip and spray my mirrors, door handles and air vents, and see if I like it ...

I thought it might be a limited edition Last of the Discovery ... like they are doing for the Defenders.
I guess those will be next year!

Ha ha sure Andy ...yeah because $7000 'value' wheels represent the pinnacle of evolution.😜 Nothing against D4's, or black bits, just the ridiculous pricing.
