Body only plonked back on to shift it into town from the farm. Its a resting project that I cant license, despite obtaining the correct permits for the conversion.
Has a 6" lift, ford 302V8 and C4 auto. Most of the stuff under the body is new, engine is poor, but always was going to get a fresh 351 V8 The engineer was happy with the chassis/engine/gearbox mods.
ONEDAY,it will be my beach fishing rig or creek bed racer.Must remember to keep praying to them lotto godz
I had it running mocked up before the chassis lift etc, even with the shagged out 302 it was a monster

You don't need to spend money for window tinting if you are doing it for skin cancer prevention. The glass alone does that pretty well. Tint improves this only slightly.

In my research Opticool Pilkington glass is pretty good at keeping out the heat. I had originally intended tinting my D4 as I had done many of my previous cars. I haven't yet because this car just doesn't seem to need it.

Perhaps it cools quickly with rear air con, but what ever the answer, my D4 does not seem any hotter than my previous tinted Navara or XJ8 Jag or VW Eos.

My conclusion: Tinting is really for looks. Spend your money on something else.

Window tint not only helps keep the car cool it also reduces the penetration of UV rays into the car.

It does not necessarily need to be hot to be a high UV rating day.

Privacy glass usually does not stop UV penetration.

If you do not want tint but want to reduce UV exposure you can get clear film that is applied in the same way as tinted film.

No way mate... The difference between decent (heat/UV rejecting) and cosmetic tint is like chalk and cheese...

    Benefits are numerous...

    Improved privacy
Improved security - harder to smash and grab
Heat / UV rejection for passengers and interior materials
    Reduced eye strain from glare

Consider also the legal tint on the first window row and then much darker for second and third row, which is also legal. That's what I did and I love the look if I could work out how to post a photo I would show you. Gives you the privacy glass look with better protection in the first row.

    Andy,

Sotuherns did mine for $600 in Feb this year when I bought it. Great job (privacy at rear) and no dust etc under the tint which has happened to me on other vehicles.

If your aerial is on the rear side windows make sure they do not damage it when trimming the tint.

+1 for TKO in Carlisle. Doing a lot of high end cars they seems to know how to take a bit of care in what they're doing. Was about $400.

I went legal front, very dark back. Looks great and no visibility issues.

The Tint a Car price was for the darker tint for the rest of the windows.35% solar passing thru is the WA rule for drivers/passengers glass, the rest of the glass is 20%.
