    Front Brakes - Torque/bolts

    Hi guys,

have got new discs and pads that I am going to fit to my D4.
the two main bolts (not the top half secondary ones) is there a special tool to get them off? or any recommendations on best way to release them?

secondly when re tightening what are the factory torque settings for them?

obvious want to get this right with front brakes being a big safety thing with a 2.5t plus car...

    Thanks
    Jonathan

The bolts are normal 12-point/double hex. They're quite tight!

Tightening torque - from the WSM:

    22. Install the brake caliper anchor bolts
Tighten the bolts to 115 Nm (85 lb.ft).

I use thread locker as I don't like suspension or brake bolts working loose.

A 1/2" drive socket and breaker bar should do although I may have used a 3/4" drive socket and bar.
