Just been there,done that,pretty sure valve block is LR only.

You may be able to get a kit to rebuild it,but i wouldn't bother.

Compresser service kit,sorry can't help.

Have you actually found the leak yet????
A window cleaner bottle with a strong dishwashing liquid(hand washing not machine washing) mix will help heaps.
Pump the airbags up to full off-road height,and soak them with the squirty gun,same for all air lines and blocks.

Hi Gullible,
This is good advice from Andy, I had a leak recently and went looking found the top connections to both from air bags leaking ever so slightly. Gave them a bit of a move around, the connections do have some movement in them and so far everything has returned to normal. Saying that my RRS had both from air bags replaced about six months prior to me buying so I had a good idea where to start looking.

Washing up liquid, mixed with a bit of water, like Andy says , good luck.

I am Still in the process of locating the leak. I've given the suspension struts a squirt and no evidence of a leak. I'll do the compressor connections today.

The D3 is a 2005 build with 235K on the clock. I'm preparing myself for a bit of a suspension overhaul.

If I can not find an external leak I'll start with replacing the front valve block. I'll then take apart the old valve block to see if there is any contamination from the compressor. If there is I'll overhaul the compressor and then refurbish/replace the rear valve block.

I need to do it in stages to minimise the time the vehicle is out of service as it is our daily driver.

If that all fails I imagine it will be off to the professionals for strut replacement.

This might not be the cause of your problem (i assume that the front of your car is lowering overnight) but its worth checking if you're going through the system - the compressor dryer (it removes the moisture from the air to protect the compressor and air system) loses its ability to remove moisture. Sometimes it's enough to resolve problems without too much expense. There was a thread on it either here or the disco3.co.uk site, sorry i cant find it atm.

Mine was replaced just before i bought the car as the mechanic noticed an air leak while he was under there.

Air leaks are very difficult to find if they are small,particularly if they are from the bag.

I have thought of removing the strut,which isn't a massive job, and putting some pressure in it and then dropping it in a bath full of water.

But some say you can't pressurise it without the weight of the vehicle on it.

Being the daily driver will be a nuisance as the longer you leave the vehicle parked while investigating the better.

The best way is to run masking tape from the guard to the centre of the wheel,and check it after leaving it overnight,or 24 hours,particularly if the leak is small.

My left front was going down around 15mm per night with the fuse 26 out,but it also pulled the right front and left rear down slightly as well,which can confuse results.

If you have a safe overnight location you could drive the vehicle in and leave one of the doors open overnight, the dodgy corner or corners will be lower the following morning. This was how I started looking. Doesn't work with the back door though I do believe.
