    Bugger

    Hi guys & gals...

Eventful day off the black stuff.
1 lost the front number plate and number plate holder in a deap water crossing
2 developed a loud knock from transmition when accelerating hard under load.. Almost like abs 10 times louder....

So..anyone have a front number plate holder for a D4 going cheap
Or a clue what ive done to the tranny?

    Cheers

Got a whole front bumper in the shed somewhere.
I would be getting underneath and checking the prop shafts, hopefully its only some crap caught in one of them causing an out of balance.
Trick it into extra off-road height for more room,I used a jack stand the other day so I could give the chassis a good clean.Put it in off-road height, put a jack stand or block of wood under the chassis and lower. The dash will tell you what to do next.(assuming you dont know)(try that in a Defender)

    No need, 2 reasons.

    1. you just park the deefer in a river and let it wash itself.
    2. you dont need to trick a deefer into off road height its standard height is the offroad setting.

    Hi Daryl.

I'll check it out tomorrow/later today in daylight but if yours fell off I should be able to remove mine from my original bumper bar. I just had a look at it outside and it seems to be attached with 4 screws. I don't need it as I have a bull bar. Don't really know why I kept it. You can have it for free if it comes off ok. I'll get back on tomorrow with the result and you can PM me your address and I'll post it to you.

Andy, it'll be cheaper for me to send as I live in Sydney unless you particularly want to.

Yes, it's held on by 4 screws and I have removed it from the bumper bar.

PM me if you want me to post it.

Not off-road height - extended emergency height
